Santiago Sanz attending Prague Half Marathon with his kenyan athlete Josphat Kiprop "Kiptis"
Santi is flying to Prague (Cezch Republic) for assisting his kenyan athlete Josphat Kiprop “Kiptis”, who´s training with coach Santiago Sanz since November and will be racing at the Sportisimo Prague Half Marathon next Saturday around capital streets.
Kiptis has been working solid and focus since I started coaching him. He has adapted succesfully to a training system totally different to the one he was involved and he will do good in Prague, where he will be pacing till 12k and from that point can take his own decissions. We are conscious that he is not peaking because main goal for first part of season is Olomouc Half Marathon (Czech Republic) to be held on June 24Th, but Prague is a great chance for testing his conditions and make all training program adjustments needed to face Olomouc´s Half in excellent condition.
On Sunday will be racing also the another kenyan athleted coached by Sanz “Sammy Kigen” at Daegu´s Marathon (South Corea), where he´ll be pacing till 30km.
Sammy has been training with me only three weeks. Main goal is he get adapted quick to my system and improving by fall his Marathon Personal Best, trying also a Half Marathon PB if he take´s part in one event at this distance.
